Anna Maria Chlumsky is an American actor from the United States. She started acting when she was a young girl and then became known for playing Vada Sultenfuss in the film My Girl and its sequel My Girl 2. Her first appearances in the film followed and she went on hiatus from 1999 until 2005, to study at the college of her choice. Anna Chlumsky was born on 3 December 1980 in Chicago Illinois to Nancy and Frank Chlumsky Jr. Her mother was a flight attendant and her father was a chef. Both of her parents are skilled artists while her mother is a singer and actress, her father plays the instrument saxophone. As she was about 10 months old, Marshall Fields hired the model to play the role of a child for their advertisements. When her parents divorced, she was just two years old, and she was raised by a single mother. At the age of 10 months young, Marshall Field's employed her as a child model for their advertising. The only person she was able to raise her was her mother following the divorce of her parents after she was two.
