Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding these cases. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She has also hosted the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
